With a 3000 mm waterproof rating and UPF50+ sun protection, it shelters you from sudden showers and harsh sunlight alike. FAQs
Can I use just one pole?
- Yes. You can pitch with one pole and anchor the other corners to vehicles, trees, or ground stakes using a ridgeline/guylines.
- One-pole setups are best for quick shade or wind-shed but give less headroom and smaller usable area.
- For regular use or breezier days, we recommend two poles for stability.
Wind rating & tie-down tips
- As a rule of thumb:
Light breeze (≤ 25–30 km/h): Standard setup is fine.
Moderate wind (30–45 km/h): Use two poles, all guylines, and strong pegs (sand/screw pegs for soft ground).
Stronger winds (> 45–50 km/h) or storms: Lower the pitch or take it down. Don’t leave unattended.
- Tie-down tips:
Guylines at ~45° to the pole, stakes driven at ~45° away from the tarp.
Cross-guy each pole (two lines per pole in a “V”).
Lower the windward edge to spill air; add extra guy points if available.
Use screw/sand pegs on beaches and long steel pegs on hard ground.
Care & cleaning
Cleaning: Shake/brush off dirt. Sponge with lukewarm water + mild soap. Rinse well. No bleach, solvents, or machine wash.
Drying: Air-dry completely (both sides) before packing to prevent mildew and hydrolysis.
Storage: Store cool, dry, and loosely packed in a breathable bag. Do not store wet or in direct sun/hot car.
UV/Coating care: Prolonged UV shortens fabric life—pitch in shade when possible. If water beading reduces after long use, consider a reproofing spray suitable for PU-coated fabrics.
